Hanson Professional Services Inc. in Houston, TX, is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Industry Market within the Building Structural Discipline. You will work on industrial, building and facilities projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with civil, rail and mechanical disciplines.

A PE license is desirable and SE license is required or obtainable. The role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Revit (required).
• Experience with AutoCAD (desirable).
• Experience with MicroStation (a plus).
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (required).
• Experience with structural design software such as RISA (required).
• Strong communication of complex technical concepts to engineers, clients, stakeholders.
• Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems.
• Interest in a variety of assignments and ongoing professional development.
• 5–15 years of structural engineering experience (desirable).
• PE license desirable; SE license required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support the structural needs of industrial sites and integrate design with civil, rail, and mechanical disciplines.
• Perform complex engineering calculations and use structural design software for analysis and design.
• Conduct structural analysis, prepare specifications, details, and construction plans.
• Assist with site investigations, field reconnaissance, modeling, construction document prep, and contractor pricing assistance.
• Mentor and assign duties to entry-level staff.
• Prepare and review calculations, quantity take-offs, and opinions of probable construction costs.
• Other duties as assigned.
