Bunker One, part of Bunker Holding, a global marine fuels group, is seeking an Oil Derivatives Trader in Houston to join an international desk. Based in Houston, you will work with physical trading and sales, developing hedging strategies and managing risk across oil products.

You will join a truly global workplace that services its clients and physical asset base by trading oil products, biofuels, carbon, power and natural gas.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience trading with fuel or distillated derivatives, with a P&L responsibility, at a Bank/Financial institution or physical trading house.
• Sound understanding of oil and oil products is essential, with knowledge of biofuels and transition fuels an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and be based in or relocate to Houston with valid US work permissions.

Responsibilities

• Implement effective derivatives pricing and hedging strategies to optimize physical exposures and drive franchise growth.
• Develop and execute profitable trading strategies, managing position size and risk across proprietary and client deal flows.
• Carry out daily desk tasks, including marking forward curves, providing market updates and engaging with physical trading and sales colleagues.
• Share market intelligence and tactical approaches, contributing to the team’s knowledge and strategy.
• Assist in risk management of global trading books that include oil, gas and biofuels during US hours.
