Job summary

The role includes on-field coverage for local high school football games in the Heights area as part of our orthopedic ecosystem. We value collaboration with our strong orthopedic Surgery Department and rehabilitation services

Qualifications

• Must hold TEXAS medical license or be in process of obtaining one.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine/Sports Medicine.
• Experience in sports medicine or concussion management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care sports medicine services.
• On-field coverage for local high school football games in the Heights area.
• Collaborate with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, physical therapists, and athletic trainers.

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is currently looking for a full-time Primary Care Sports Medicine physician to join our team. This opening is at our campus located in The Heights area. Candidates should have a Texas license, or be in the process of obtaining one, and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine/Sports Medicine. This is a full-time position with Houston Methodist. In addition to the standard orthopedic practice, Houston Methodist also provides on-field coverage for local high school football games in the Heights area.
