Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company in Houston is seeking an Order Selector to fulfill customer orders in the warehouse by operating a forklift or electric pallet jack. You will pick products, palletize orders, and stage and load them onto trucks for delivery, contributing to on-time fulfillment.

The role requires safety awareness, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and strong teamwork. You must read, write English, and handle multiple priorities while maintaining an organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience preferred.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Able to coordinate multiple activities and follow through with commitments.
• Good oral and written communication skills and participate well in a team environment.
• Must be highly motivated and results oriented, with a strong attention to detail.
• Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
• Must be 18 yrs. or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customer orders using a forklift or pallet jack
• Project a friendly, professional image at all times
• Prioritize multiple, competing priorities
• Ensure company equipment is in safe, working condition; reports any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor
• Operate all company equipment safely and in a manner consistent with company policy
• Ensure work area is organized, clean, and free of trash
• Attend meetings as required
