Job summary

SPL is seeking an experienced Field Sampling Technician to support oil and gas field sampling and laboratory operations in Houston, TX. The role covers collecting samples from client sites, maintaining chain‑of‑custody, and coordinating with customers and internal teams to ensure safe, accurate, and timely operations.

Responsibilities include sample prep, basic analysis, LIMS data entry, and equipment maintenance in varying field and lab environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on oil & gas field sampling experience preferred.
• Experience with sample preparation and basic analysis is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office; LIMS or similar systems helpful.

Responsibilities

• Collect oil, gas, and NGL samples from client sites following procedures.
• Maintain chain-of-custody, transport, and sample integrity.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot field sampling equipment.
• Prepare containers, labels, and supplies for field activities.
• Complete paperwork and records accurately and on time.
• Communicate sampling needs and schedules with customers and teams.
