Job summary

The Houston DAT Intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers joins the Assurance practice to observe and participate in audit processes, conduct research, and support project teams on client engagements. You will learn PwC methodologies while developing professional skills in a learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MIS, Business Analytics, CS, or IT.
  • At least a 3.0 overall GPA.
  • Before starting full-time at PwC, meet educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam or licensure as a CISA.
  • Client service intern positions are entry-level; candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree or fourth year of a five-year program.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting audit teams in conducting independent evaluations of financial reporting.
  • Participating in auditing methodologies to assess compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Observing and learning from experienced auditors to gain exposure to PwC's practices.
  • Assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial data to uphold transparency and integrity.

The Opportunity

As a Houston - DAT - Intern, you will engage in a dynamic learning environment, gaining exposure to PwC's practices and methodologies within our Assurance practice. You will support teams by participating in projects, conducting research, and performing basic tasks that contribute to the success of our client engagements. This role offers a unique opportunity to observe and learn from experienced professionals, enhancing your understanding of audit and assurance processes.

This role emphasizes the importance of appreciating diverse perspectives and actively listening to enhance your communication skills.

What You Must Have
  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Information Technology
  • At least a 3.0 overall GPA
  • Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment or the educational requirements for licensure as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
