Job summary

Crescent Energy is seeking a Senior JIB Accounts Receivable Accountant to lead the JIB AR process in our Houston-based Accounting organization. This role focuses on collections, aging management, ownership resolution, and netting activities across Crescent's operated asset portfolio.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in upstream oil & gas accounting, including exposure to JIB, AR, owner relations, and division order. Strong analytical skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of upstream oil and gas accounting experience with exposure to JIB/receivables.
• Strong knowledge of JOAs, ownership structures, and JIB processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead JIB accounts receivable process including aging analysis and collections.
• Own JIB netting process and coordinate with Division Order & Revenue Accounting.
• Resolve ownership-related collection issues with Division Order and Land Administration.
• Identify unknown owner balances, ownership discrepancies and legacy balances.
• Develop and execute collection strategies for difficult-to-collect accounts.
• Monitor collection performance and aging trends to improve recoveries.
