Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks an experienced Expeditor for a Houston project within its Manufacturing & Technology unit building an API manufacturing facility at Generation Park.

You will contact suppliers, interpret production schedules, monitor material delivery, and provide early warning of delays to keep critical paths on track. Strong communication and proactive problem-solving are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement, expediting, logistics or materials management.
• Strong knowledge of purchase order administration and delivery tracking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to coordinate with suppliers and project teams.
• Ability to analyze schedules, reports and expediting data with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex expediting on projects or sites to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Contacts suppliers to obtain timely submission of engineering data and follow-up on material status.
• Interprets production schedules to ensure activities occur on time and interfaces are maintained.
• Coordinates with planning, field coordinators and construction to set priorities, sequences and delivery dates.
• Expedites engineering data review and approval by suppliers.
• Participates in pre- and post-award meetings to review schedules and potential issues.
• Coordinates shipping arrangements or tracking requests with the project Logistics representative.
