Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant for The Madison on Marsh in Carrollton, TX. The role involves performing scheduled housekeeping tasks, cleaning patient rooms and common areas, and maintaining a safe environment under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful, and familiarity with floor-care equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily per facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions; mop floors as needed.
• Empties trash containers, replaces liners, and disposes of trash properly.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows using proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to supervisor or maintenance.
• Requests necessary supplies and equipment from supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and follows safety rules.
• Adheres to Cantex policy on abuse prevention.
• Attends weekly in-services and supports patient care management systems.

Job Summary

The overall purpose of the Housekeeping Assistant position is to perform scheduled housekeeping tasks as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This position may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.

Essential Functions

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions. May dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors.
• Empties trash containers, replaces liners as appropriate and disposes of trash in proper receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
• Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
• Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
