Job summary

The Madison on Marsh, part of Cantex, seeks a Housekeeper to perform scheduled housekeeping in patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety per facility protocols. Duties include mopping, vacuuming, dusting, window washing, and removing trash.

This full-time or PRN position is on-site in Carrollton, TX. Applicants should read, write, and speak English, follow safety rules, report repairs, and participate in weekly in-services and patient care management procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience using floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily according to facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals and mop floors as directed.
• Empties trash and replaces liners; disposes of trash properly.
• Vacuum carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows with proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repairs or maintenance needs to Supervisor.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and follows safety rules.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Ensures patient/resident safety and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The overall purpose of the Housekeeping Assistant position is to perform scheduled housekeeping tasks as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This position may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.

Qualifications:

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Essential Functions:

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in proper portions. May dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors.
• Empties trash containers, replaces liners as appropriate and disposes of trash in proper receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
• Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
• Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
