Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking a Program Director III for Arlington Drive in Tacoma. This full-time role leads housing and community-based programs, oversees staff and volunteers, and ensures services align with the YSIC mission across Pierce County.

You will supervise a diverse team, manage contracts, drive program development, and coordinate with THA to support unhoused youth and families. On-site work with some cross-site responsibilities is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in psychology, social services, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional or volunteer experience with high-risk youth/young adults.
• 3+ years of leadership and supervisory experience of teams and staff, including program development, leadership development, contract management, and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to existing programs and expand community activities in line with strategic plans.
• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Oversee on-site administration, interest lists, waitlists, and resident selection.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide leadership during crises.
• Collaborate with Housing and Homeless Services and other divisions to coordinate services.
• Represent the Y Social Impact Center at Pierce County committees, meetings, and events.
• Lead trainings and develop SOPs to ensure safety and compliance.
• Develop partnerships and secure funding streams for Arlington Drive.
