Start Corporation is seeking a Housing Specialist to assist clients in obtaining and maintaining stable housing through supportive services. The role emphasizes building landlord relationships and expanding access to fair and affordable housing opportunities for clients.

Qualifications include a preferred Bachelor's degree, 1+ year of homelessness housing experience, a valid driver's license, and no Medicaid/billing disqualifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; must be over 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
  • Minimum of one year experience with homeless population and housing experience.
  • No restrictions or adverse actions that would disqualify for Medicaid or other billing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains professional and ethical standards of conduct at all times.
  • Promotes recovery, personal choice, and respect.
  • Interviews clients and/or families and completes assessments and other clinical documentation.
  • Works as part of a transdisciplinary team and completes required documentation in data systems.
  • Ensures clinical documentation and client files meet licensing/ accreditation standards.
  • Performs routine case maintenance and prepares required reports and summaries.
  • Collaborates with facility staff to identify needs for the assigned service area and makes appropriate referrals.
