Position Overview

The Housing Specialist reports to the Clinical Supervisor and plays a vital role in assisting clients to attain their housing goals through comprehensive support and resource coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist clients in achieving their housing-related goals by identifying and referring them to appropriate services both within and outside CAMBA.
  2. Conduct housing searches for clients, including referrals to housing providers, contacting landlords, and searching apartment listings.
  3. Develop curricula and facilitate workshops on housing and independent living needs.
  4. Create and display informational materials on housing resources.
  5. Organize presentations by housing programs, real estate experts, and landlords.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations and landlords.
  7. Review housing options for appropriateness and follow up post-move to ensure stability.
  8. Conduct intake and psychosocial evaluations, and re-assessments as needed.
  9. Obtain and manage necessary documentation from clients.
  10. Assist clients with barriers, community resources, and other services, including medical and psychiatric support.
  11. Document all client interactions and progress in DHS CARES Database.
  12. Support clients in completing benefit applications and accompany them to appointments if needed.
Minimum Requirements

Relevant experience and education as specified, with potential certifications in First Aid/CPR and overdose prevention.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $47,000 - $50,000 annually. This depends on experience, education, and organizational factors.

Status: Full-time (35 hours/week). Benefits include health, dental, retirement plan, paid time off, and holidays.
