Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree
• Eight years of facilities management or operations leadership experience
• Five+ years supervising professional staff and managers
• Experience managing maintenance operations for multiple facilities or a large campus
• Experience overseeing capital projects and deferred maintenance programs
• Experience managing capital budgets and working with external contractors
• Knowledge of life safety, OSHA regulations, building codes, and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Set and advance department goals and long-range plans for facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, safety, and building systems
• Establish policies, standards and metrics to drive service improvements and efficiency
• Serve on the University Housing Senior Leadership Team and lead facilities responses during emergencies
• Provide oversight of preventive and deferred maintenance and capital renewal planning
• Supervise and develop a multidisciplinary team including custodial, maintenance, safety/security, and project roles
• Coordinate with internal and external partners on renovations and capital projects
• Ensure compliance with life safety, environmental health, ADA, OSHA, and building codes
