Qualifications

• Experience managing construction projects within budget and schedule.
• Two years (24 months) of construction-related experience in housing rehabilitation/ construction.
• Understanding of building codes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and land use requirements.
• Ability to conduct in-person home inspections in diverse settings.
• Experience building trusted relationships with communities of color and vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect dwellings for housing quality standards and eligible repairs under the Housing Repair Program.
• Provide technical assistance and planning for project scopes; research building codes for feasibility.
• Prepare bids, develop construction specs, and administer contracts between contractor and homeowner.
• Conduct site inspections with contractors to monitor compliance and payments.
• Outreach to Housing Repair stakeholders and streamline the application process.
• Participate in division and department meetings.
