As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), NHSNYC works to preserve and strengthen communities across New York City. NHSNYC addresses critical housing challenges, including coastal resilience, flood insurance education, and advocating for sustainable living solutions.
The Housing Projects Manager – Lending oversees complex housing rehabilitation and lending-related projects that help homeowners preserve and improve their homes. The role manages projects from initial assessment through completion by coordinating homeowners, contractors, lenders, and internal program teams to ensure projects remain on schedule, comply with lending and funding requirements, and meet program goals.
In addition to project oversight, the Housing Projects Manager serves as a trusted advisor by connecting homeowners with financial counseling, insurance resources, and housing stabilization services while navigating construction, rehabilitation, and financing processes. The position partners closely with Lending, Counseling, Property Management, and other program teams to deliver a seamless client experience, support strategic organizational initiatives, and strengthen community partnerships. The successful candidate is an organized project manager, collaborative problem solver, and relationship builder who can manage multiple complex projects while advancing NHSNYC’s mission of preserving safe, stable, and affordable housing.
Some evening and weekend work is required. The position also facilitates or cofacilitates homeowner, property management, and housing-related workshops and educational programs as needed.
