Responsibilities

• Educate members on tenant rights, budgeting, and independent living skills.
• Perform field and home visits and move-in support.

BLEHEALTH is seeking a compassionate and resourceful Housing Navigator to help individuals and families experiencing housing instability secure and maintain safe, stable housing. This role combines case management, housing advocacy, community outreach, and care coordination to support members in overcoming barriers to permanent housing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct housing assessments and identify barriers to obtaining and maintaining housing.
• Develop individualized housing support plans and assist members in achieving housing goals.
• Connect members with permanent housing opportunities, including supportive housing programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with landlords, property managers, housing authorities, and community partners.
• Assist members with housing applications, obtaining required documentation, and accessing public benefits.
• Help secure rental assistance, security deposits, moving assistance, and other housing-related resources.
• Advocate for members with landlords, service providers, and community agencies.
• Provide housing-focused case management, crisis intervention, and housing retention support.
• Educate members on tenant rights, lease compliance, budgeting, independent living skills, and housing stability.
• Conduct field visits, home visits, and move-in support as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in housing navigation, case management, social services, homeless services, community outreach, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based systems.
• Reliable transportation for community-based work.
• Valid California driver's license and current auto insurance.

Preferred

• Experience working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
• Knowledge of housing programs, rental assistance resources, and community-based services.
• Experience with harm reduction, motivational interviewing, or trauma-informed care.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Pay:$20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In-person and community-based throughout Los Angeles region

Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
40 hours per week
