Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking a housing maintenance technician to perform maintenance across employee housing units, ensuring compliance with state rules and safety standards. You will inspect multiple units, perform preventative repairs, and coordinate with tenants and dispatch.

The role requires five years of preventive or apartment maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and the ability to work evenings or after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/vocational training preferred.
  • Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Minimum five years’ preventive or apartment maintenance experience required.
  • Prior experience with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems preferred.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect multiple housing units following a comprehensive facility maintenance checklist; perform preventative maintenance repairs.
  • Respond to maintenance work orders; troubleshoot and perform minor electrical, carpentry, and plumbing services.
  • Collaborate with tenants to review and resolve open maintenance issues.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch; report steps taken for work order resolution.
  • Respond to corporate project requests; resolve issues and report findings to supervisors.
  • Communicate with multiple teams and management on a weekly or monthly basis to ensure compliance and consistency regarding housing projects.
  • Advise managers of maintenance concerns and ensure creation of work order requests.
  • Utilize various computer systems to track and report maintenance requests.
  • Participate in company sponsored safety training classes.
  • Maintain own technical knowledge on all equipment within area of responsibility.
  • Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Job Description

  • This position requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
