City of Longmont seeks an Housing Investment Manager to lead the Housing and Community Investment Division's planning and development efforts, including inclusionary housing, land acquisition, and financing for affordable housing projects.
The role requires coordinating with multiple City departments, presenting to City Council and advisory boards, and managing staff to advance long-term housing investment goals. A strong background in planning and public administration is essential.

Direct housing planning and development, Inclusionary Housing program implementation and affordable housing financial investments (project/program implementation and compliance); and represent the City in negotiations related to these activities.
Work is generally performed in a standard office environment. Occasional lifting may exceed 30 pounds, routinely lifting up to 15 pounds. Work requires on-site travel for departmental Continuous Improvement efforts, legislative issues, and Council concerns, frequent non-traditional work schedule including evenings and weekends.
Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in planning, public administration, housing development (including knowledge of LIHTC), or a related field and four to five years of professional level experience in housing and community development, planning and/or project management including supervisory experience, or demonstrated skills/training in supervision. A Master's Degree in a related area may substitute for professional experience. Special Qualifications: Funding and Finance Certification from Neighborworks and/or Rental Housing Development Certification from NDC or ability to become certified within 6 months. Professional certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) preferred.
