Job summary

SENDCAA is seeking a Housing Empowerment Coach to provide person-centered, housing-focused case management to individuals and families in Permanent Supportive Housing across Region 5 in North Dakota.

The role emphasizes building trusting relationships, supporting stability, navigating leases, connecting to resources, and using Housing First, harm-reduction approaches to keep participants housed and engaged in community life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, psychology, sociology, behavioral health, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with homelessness, housing instability, or behavioral health challenges is beneficial.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized housing stability plans with participants.
• Assist with lease requirements, tenant responsibilities, and housing-related concerns.
• Conduct home visits and support participants in communities.
• Coordinate services across systems to provide comprehensive support.
• Advocate for participants to reduce barriers to maintaining housing.
