Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s strongly desired.
• Minimum of 4 years experience with a freight forwarder or import/export agency in a similar role.

We are currently looking for an Operations Manager - Import and Export to join our team. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for logistics, operations, and service; You will be responsible for supporting the operations side of this branch. Effectively manage Branch staff.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for coaching, developing, and leading staff
• Receive, review, and process import & export documentation for accounts.
• Ensure documentation is accurately processed, distributed, and released to carriers, customers, and agents in a timely manner.
• Communicate with overseas agents to ensure proper pre-alerts and documentation.
• Demonstrate an emphasis on customer satisfaction per company policy.
• Maintain shipment files and ensure billing is completed in a timely fashion.
• Ensure documentation is accurately processed, distributed, and released to carriers, customers, and agents in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate an emphasis on high level customer satisfaction.
• Maintain shipment files and ensure billing is completed in a timely fashion.
• Assist as a backup for alternate accounts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Bachelors strongly desired
• Minimum of 4 years experience with a freight forwarder or import/export agency in a similar role is required
• Must have international and domestic experience
• Strong MS Office Suite skills
• Displays a flexible and open-minded willingness to adapt to new environments and be a team player
• Bi-lingual or multi-lingual welcomed but not required
