Coordinate the daily operations of Daybreak’s housing programs to ensure smooth client transitions, strong landlord partnerships, and high-quality, youth-centered service delivery aligned with Housing First for Youth principles. The Housing Administrator facilitates client move-ins, maintains landlord relationships, ensures regulatory compliance, and collaborates with internal teams to address housing-related challenges. This role focuses on operational coordination and quality assurance, supporting a low-barrier, harm reduction approach that prioritizes stability, choice, and self-determination for youth and young adults (YYAs).Essential duties include:Coordinate client transitions from the streets or shelters into Daybreak housing options, ensuring timely placements and full occupancyCollaborate with the YYA team to match participants with appropriate housing based on safety, proximity to transportation/school/work, and client choiceManage the move-in process, including unit readiness (bedbug treatment, cleaning, painting, furnishings) and required paperworkMeet with clients on lease agreements, program compliance, financial responsibilities, and tenant rightsServe as the primary liaison to landlords — build relationships, market the program, negotiate leases, and recruit new landlords willing to rent to YYAsConduct and document weekly apartment inspections for Tax Credit, HUD, and funder complianceProvide consultation to case management teams on housing-related concerns, client crises, conflict resolution, and dischargesEducate clients on lease contracts, tenant rights, and responsibilitiesPartner with the Housing Director on program development, data collection, and reportingAssist in developing and updating housing policies, procedures, and youth-friendly materialsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.A.) in human services or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university requiredAt least 3 years of experience in property management, housing coordination, or real estate operationsSkills & AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high performance standardsStrong teamwork and collaboration skillsExceptional organizational and time management abilitiesStrong problem-solving skills with flexibility to adapt to shifting needs and prioritiesAbility to remain adaptable and responsive to the diverse and evolving needs of YYAsCertificates, Licenses & RegistrationsValid Ohio Driver's LicenseSafe driving record per Motor Vehicle Record checkCurrent automobile insuranceCPR/First Aid CertificationCPI Certification
