Job summary

Native American Rehabilitation Association of the Northwest, Inc. seeks a Housing Placement and Outreach Specialist to conduct culturally responsive outreach to Native American and other vulnerable individuals experiencing homelessness across Multnomah County.

The role includes coordinating housing, services, and documentation needs with community partners. The position is in-person at Totem Lodge (Portland, OR), with a Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Credential within six months of hire (QMHA, PSS, CADC-1 or related).
• Experience with homelessness or mental health populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach to homeless individuals in shelters, encampments, and unsheltered locations.
• Coordinate with community partners to connect clients to housing, shelter, healthcare, and supportive services.
• Assist with document readiness (IDs, birth certificates, SSN) and housing applications.
• Support housing navigation, including search, lease-up, move-in assistance, and rapid rehousing.
