Job summary

The Draftsman, Charlottesville, University, Autograph Collection Hotel is seeking a dedicated Houseperson to help maintain the cleanliness and presentation of public areas, event spaces, and guest corridors. You will support Room Attendants and housekeeping by performing a wide range of cleaning, staging, and housekeeping duties to ensure an exceptional guest experience and uphold brand standards.

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Must be capable of lifting 25+ lbs and standing long hours.

• Support housekeeping by performing cleaning, staging, and related duties.
• Remove used linens and waste from room attendant carts.
• Transport soiled linens to laundry and dispose of trash.
• Deliver guest-requested items to guestrooms and retrieve them for storage.
• Assist with furniture setup and teardown for meetings and events.
• Relocate inventory to storage areas and closets.
• Maintain clean and presentable public spaces and address spot-cleaning needs.
• Clean and detail fixtures, windows, and glass doors.
• Rotate and flip mattresses as required.
• Install curtains and window treatments.
• Support housekeeping by removing bedspreads and drapery as directed.
