Job summary

Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions is looking for an Overnight Houseperson at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg. In this role, you will maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel, including public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house spaces.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and experience in cleaning or custodial services. This position offers a dynamic work environment focused on guest satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Houseperson for the overnight shift.

As an Overnight Houseperson, you will ensure that all public areas, guest rooms, and back‑of‑house spaces are spotless, well‑maintained, and ready for the next day’s operations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and stairwells to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance
• Conduct floor care procedures such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces throughout the property
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks in guest rooms when needed, ensuring rooms meet cleanliness standards before check‑in
• Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety regulations
• Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly
• Support custodial operations by managing industrial cleaning tasks in back‑of‑house areas or service corridors
• Follow established hospitality protocols to deliver exceptional service while adhering to health and safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within a hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning
• Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures and proper equipment use
• Experience with industrial or commercial cleaning practices is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Previous housekeeper management experience is advantageous but not required
