Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Houseperson to keep guest corridors, elevators, accommodations, and common areas pristine. You may deliver items to rooms and support room attendants. You will follow checklists, maintain closets, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Lead with Love and collaborate with the leadership team to provide extraordinary guest experiences. This role supports hotels with over 500 rooms and growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience with properties (Hotels and Resorts) in excess of 500 rooms is preferred.
• Leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
• Must have good customer relation skills, have great attention to detail, able to work independently without supervision and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Deliver items to guest rooms, keep housekeeping closets clean and stocked and assist room attendants when needed by stripping beds, running linen and cleaning rooms.
• Use daily checklists to complete cleaning projects such as: elevator lobbies, ash urns, glass tables, furniture, ice machines, vending machines, elevator doors/frames, service landings, linen closets, stairwells, and polish floors.
• Walk assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers, trays, empty ash urns, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning.
• Maintain housekeeping closets keeping them clean and orderly and advise supervisor of low inventory of amenity items.
• Be familiar with proper guest room cleaning procedures and assist room attendants with cleaning when needed.
