WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A COLLEAGUE
The House Person is primarily responsible for various housekeeping duties as well as processing special requests. This will include cleaning public areas, the pick up and delivery of clean and dirty linen bins from the locker rooms, pools, guest room areas, and the Life Enhancement Center, and delivering the linen bins and amenities to Housekeeping storerooms.
Housekeeping: Assure cleanliness of guest room hallways, foyers, and stairwells. Assist room attendants in maintaining Canyon Ranch's high standards of cleaning quality. Primary responsibility is to ensure all dirty linens and trash are brought to their designated areas, restock housekeeping closets, and answer all radio calls in assigned areas. Provides an exceptionally clean and organized environment to all colleagues and guests.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Availability: This is a part-time position. MUST have flexible availability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Language: You will need to be able to speak, read and write in English in order to utilize our electronic system and respond to various guest requests.
Background: You also need to have a clean driving record with no moving violations for the past 3 years.
Experience: 1-2 years previous experience in housekeeping, custodial work or a related field.
Physical: You need to be able to physically maintain the cleanliness of public buildings that vary in size from 500 square feet to 7000 square feet. This includes lifting items such as tables, chairs, beds, etc., removal of soiled linen bags that weigh up to 30 pounds, pushing and pulling linen carts that weigh up to 120 pounds, handling waste such as garbage and recycling, using chemicals, bending, lifting and walking and/or standing for up to eight hours with a 30-minute break.
Qualifications: You need to be able to prioritize workload and adhere to assigned schedule, and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. You need to be able to work well with a variety of people.
