Position Summary:

The Houseperson ensures that assigned room attendants have all necessary supplies to clean rooms efficiently and that all floors are free of debris and linen.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supply room attendants with all supplies needed to maintain and clean guest rooms.
• Ensure all assigned floors are free of debris and linen.
• Maintain assigned vending alcoves.
• Stock and organize closets with shipments as they arrive.
• Empty trash on assigned elevator landings.
• Deliver amenities requested by in-house guests.
• Stock shipments in designated closets.
• Assist with pulling linen from linen chutes when necessary.
• Help with flipping mattresses and moving furniture as needed.
• Keep all assigned floors neat, vacuumed, and dusted.
• Assist guests with questions or concerns when approached.
• Ensure all surfaces on assigned floors are clean and tidy.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Display excellent communication skills, including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation, maintaining calm and courteous interactions under pressure.
• Respectfully follow supervisor’s directions.
• Comply with all safety policies and report unsafe activities to the supervisor.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve hotel and company goals.
• Lead by example, sharing knowledge and skills with others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
