Job summary

Generation Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated Houseperson to support our Rooms department in Billings, MT. You will help maintain public areas, assist Room Attendants, and ensure the smooth operation of the hotel’s rooms division.

You will move throughout the property, handle linens and supplies, respond promptly to guest requests, and report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.

Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel operations experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, push, pull, and lift up to [X] lbs safely and repeatedly
  • Willingness to follow all safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, and back-of-house corridors
  • Support Room Attendants by delivering linens, amenities, and supplies to guestrooms and housekeeping closets
  • Collect, sort, and transport used linens, towels, and trash from guest floors and service areas to designated locations
  • Replenish housekeeping closets and storage areas with linens, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies according to par levels
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down cots, rollaway beds, cribs, and other special room requests
  • Ensure all corridors, vending areas, and service areas are free of clutter, trash, and safety hazards at all times
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest and team member requests for assistance or supplies
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damaged items to the appropriate department
  • Follow all safety, security, and key control procedures while working in guest and back-of-house areas
  • Operate housekeeping equipment (such as vacuums, carts, and floor machines) in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assist with deep-cleaning projects, furniture moves, and special cleaning assignments as needed
  • Collaborate with the Rooms and Housekeeping teams to prioritize daily tasks and support smooth operations
  • Adhere to property standards, brand guidelines, and company policies at all times
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Rooms leadership

About The Role

As a Houseperson in our Rooms department, you play a key support role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests.   • Eligibility to work in the country of employment and ability to meet any required background or reference checks
