The Houseman will ensure the operational abilities of the Housekeeping Department by preparing for, maintaining, and recovering from various activities and functions throughout the hotel.Assists Housekeeping, dispose of trash, transport laundry, and clean the common areas of the hotel.

Essential Functions:

• Resolves guest complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; responds promptly to any guest request for service
• Arrives at work in a timely fashion in accordance with the posted schedule.
• Abides by established uniform guidelines.
• Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values and philosophy of Meyer Jabara Hotels.Displays dignity and respect of others at all times.
• Maintains a “can do” and a “guest first” attitude at all times.
• Works as a member of the overall hotel team to ensure that each guest has an experience that exceeds their expectations.
• Attends scheduled training sessions within the hotel
• Assists with other departments within the hotel when necessary to ensure guest needs.
• Cleans hotel public spaces
• Keeps outside area free of debris
• Communicate with staff or guests.Close interaction with staff and guests is essential in this position to ensure guest satisfaction
• Removes trash from all receptacles and takes it out to the dumpster
