Position Overview

Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Housekeeping Worker to provide a safe, sanitary, and attractive environment for patients, staff, and visitors at Western State Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure bathrooms and shower rooms are cleaned daily
  • Ensure all trash removed daily
  • Floors are mopped daily
  • Walls and ceilings are cleaned as needed
  • Dush mop and wet mop floors daily

Minimum Qualifications
  • General knowledge in cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, dayrooms, floor finishing, and cleaning/operating housekeeping equipment
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to understand work instructions, safety guidelines, and complete required documentation
  • Perform basic math calculations
  • Lift heavy objects
  • Stand for prolonged periods and walk on various surfaces
  • Climb ladders, work on knees, and work in various conditions
