Processes waste and linen. Performs other support functions as assigned.**Job Type: Full Time, 80 hours every two weeks****Shift Length: 3:30pm-12am (flexible start time if needed)****Weekend Frequency: Every 5th weekend****Wage Range: $16.88- $23.64**This is one of the best positions in the hospital because every day is different. Speed is a big factor for this job as there is lots to do and our job is to make sure each patient has a safe and clean environment during their time at the hospital. They continued to work hard and were an integral part of keeping the hospital clean and safe.**Work tasks:** Cleaning patient care areas, rest rooms, offices, and isolation rooms. Removing waste and soiled linens. Maintaining the housekeeping cart and restocking the housekeeping closet. While dealing with bodily fluids can be a part of the job, it happens a lot less than what outsiders think and is nothing like you see on TV! Patient interaction is a huge part of the job. Performs burnishing operations. Performs scrubbing and finish removal operations. Performs finish application.Performs carpet care procedures. Performs spot removal operations. Transports general waste from collection points to compactor. Transports medical waste from collection points to storage room.
