Job summary

PCMS is seeking a dependable, hands-on Housekeeping Team Lead to oversee evening cleaning operations and support the housekeeping team in our Lafayette facility.

This working Team Lead role requires leading by example, coordinating tasks, training staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and cleaning procedures.

The ideal candidate will communicate professionally with staff and management and be able to perform cleaning duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside housekeeping crew and assist with daily cleaning duties.
• Assign work areas and ensure all responsibilities are completed.
• Inspect rooms and assigned areas for cleanliness and quality.
• Provide guidance and hands-on training to new and existing employees.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, uniforms, and timekeeping.
• Ensure employees follow cleaning procedures, safety requirements, and facility policies.
• Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, carts, and closets.
• Report staffing concerns, incidents, and maintenance issues to management.
• Assist with shift coverage when needed.
• Communicate professionally with employees, management and facility representatives.
• Complete required reports, inspections, and end-of-shift updates.
• Secure the facility and set the alarm when assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are required.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate standard cleaning equipment and use cleaning products.

Please note:

This is a working Team Lead position. The Team Lead is expected to perform cleaning duties while also supporting and monitoring the housekeeping crew.
