Pay Range

This range is provided by Homes for the Homeless. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range: $41,200.00/yr - $41,200.00/yr

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Homes for the Homeless (HFH). The role involves overseeing housekeeping staff at our Families w/ Children facility in the Soundview area of the Bronx, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for our residents. About Homes For The Homeless

HFH operates shelters for families experiencing homelessness in NYC. Our residences offer more than shelter; residents can access onsite programs aimed at helping families thrive long-term. Many programs are also accessible to the local community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure floors are swept and waxed throughout the facility, including Early Childhood Education Centers and Brownstone school, in the evenings.
  • Thoroughly clean units upon vacancy.
  • Oversee packing and transfer of residents’ belongings during move-out.
  • Maintain the outside grounds of the facility.
  • Report repairs and supply needs to the Building Operations Manager.
  • Keep employee lounge, offices, and restrooms clean.
  • Manage trash collection and removal.
  • Maintain supplies and process orders timely.
  • Review staff performance and report issues to the Building Operations Manager.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of housekeeping experience.
  • Experience supervising a housekeeping team.
