Job summary

The YMCA Cleveland Family Y is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping department, ensuring the building is clean, sanitized, and secure for members and staff.

You will create daily and weekly schedules, supervise staff, operate cleaning equipment, and coordinate repairs and supplies, with typical Monday–Friday 8:30–5 shifts and occasional additional coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents required.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment required.
• Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, effective use.

Responsibilities

• Creates daily and weekly schedules for housekeeping duties
• Maintains upkeep of assigned areas and equipment
• Operates motorized and non-motorized equipment
• Records and reports needed repairs
• Ensures building security and reports incidents
• Manages inventory and orders necessary supplies
• Supervises housekeeping department members, including scheduling
• Other duties as assigned
