Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in institutional housekeeping and laundry services.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care; training will be provided.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and lead housekeeping and /or laundry team.
• Develop and maintain department schedule to ensure adequate staffing.
• Performs periodic inspections of the building and grounds to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other staff members to address resident needs and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Ensures all facility policies and procedures are followed and updated as needed.
• Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies.
