Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related janitorial work experience.
• Experience with hand tools and mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Experience working with developmentally disabled adults is a plus.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Completion of mandatory training within 120 days of employment.
• Valid driver's license with no violations in the past year.
• Physical capability to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and walking, including up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills (typing, navigating websites, data entry, word processing, spreadsheets, email).
• Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance of assigned buildings.
• Supervise and train Participants in cleaning, sanitation, chemical safety, and safe working practices.
• Operate and maintain mechanical cleaning equipment safely.
• Manage and enforce Emergency Safety Procedures and Housekeeping Manuals.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Manage and track housekeeping supplies and inventory.
• Inspect areas for repairs, generate work orders, and test lights and exit signs.
• Attend safety and training meetings as directed.
• Complete required annual training.
• Support Special Events by working additional days or hours as needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
