Job summary

Paloma Springs Healthcare is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the housekeeping department, ensuring sanitary, safe, and welcoming conditions for residents. The role involves supervising Environmental Services staff, coordinating schedules, and enforcing safety and regulatory guidelines across shifts.

You will train staff, work with infection prevention, and maintain records while managing budgets and service quality in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience in a commercial setting with laundry/housekeeping knowledge.
• Minimum 2 years work experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Environmental Services personnel in assigned areas, managing service levels and budgets.
• Assists in creating and implementing the Housekeeping Program and records systems; sets standards for housekeeping staff.
• Trains housekeeping and laundry staff; assigns duties and inspects for cleanliness.
• Ensures environmental and linen cleanliness and sanitation for resident safety and comfort.
• Organizes employee shifts and covers absences with replacements.
• Collaborates with residents, nurses, physicians, and staff on environmental service requests and infection prevention.
• Prepares schedules for housekeeping activities, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation policies.
• Performs daily rounding and inspections to meet company cleanliness standards; works with infection control.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
