The role includes inspecting rooms, coordinating housekeeping operations, and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have previous housekeeping experience and strong organizational skills.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Floor Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in general in a clean and orderly manner according to cleaning and safety protocols.

In addition, also coordinating daily housekeeping operations and maintaining the housekeeping operating standards. The floor supervisor is responsible for inspecting guest rooms to ensure the room attendants deliver to an excellent Guest satisfaction and experience. On a case-to-case basis the floor supervisor may also be required to assist the housekeeping leadership in various activities/projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Inspects the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms.
  • Inspects the cleanliness of guest hallways.
  • Assigns special projects as directed by leadership.
  • Reports any needed repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms.
  • Ensures that all GRAs have appropriate supplies and linens.
  • Assists in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary.
  • Assists in processing AM and PM room status reports.
  • Ensures that the GRA's linen cart is neat and well organized.
  • Ensures that linen closets on guest room floors are completely stocked.
  • Maintain supply cage stock, neat and clean at all times.
  • Must have all guest rooms punched in via the phone after completion.
  • Ensure all guest room doors be held open with a door stopper when needed.
  • Ensure VIP rooms must be inspected ASAP.
  • Ensure check out rooms are a priority.
  • Knowledge of hotel, facilities and events.
  • To ensure hotel, guest and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environment.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Desirable: fluency in English
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to be well groomed, clean and neat.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision; maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous Housekeeping experience helpful.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Perform strenuous activities such as standing for extended periods (over 4 hours a day); walking (over 4 hours a day); stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, twisting (over 4 hours a day); and manipulating large and small objects.
  • Carrying or lifting 50 lbs
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Fast-paced work environment

REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
  • Closed toe, non-canvas and non-skid soled shoes.
