Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor will assist the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining the hotel's cleanliness and presentation, establish departmental goals and procedures, and supervise Housekeeping staff.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Two (2) years of related experience in hospitality or service industry.
  • High School diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills in the primary language(s) of the workplace.
  • Proficiency in writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of staff and guests.
  • Competence in creating documents using Excel and Word.
  • Understanding of computer programs such as Property Management Systems.
  • Basic math skills, including algebra, fractions, and decimals.
Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing departmental objectives, budgets, policies, and procedures.
  • Training and supervising Housekeeping staff.
  • Inspecting guest rooms to meet Bunkhouse standards.
  • Managing inventory and ensuring compliance with health and fire regulations.
  • Maintaining open communication with staff and management.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.
  • Adhering to operational policies and safety procedures.
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained and safety protocols are followed.
  • Participating in relevant meetings.
