Job summary

Vitality Living Hudson is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team at our Hudson, Florida community. You will organize tasks, supervise schedules, and ensure safe, efficient operations to maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Effective communication in English (verbal and written)
• Meet health-related requirements as per state regulations
• Maintain required certifications as per state regulations
• Project a positive and professional image at all times

Responsibilities

• Organize and assign housekeeping tasks to ensure even workload distribution
• Interview, hire, orient, train, evaluate and supervise housekeeping staff
• Manage staffing levels to avoid over-staffing and optimize resource use
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and monitor procurement and usage to prevent waste
• Participate in onboarding, training, and staff meetings; perform other duties as assigned by Environmental Services Director

Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Organize and assign all housekeeping tasks so that the workload is evenly divided among housekeeping team members
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, orienting, training, evaluating and supervising the Housekeeping Department team members
• Closely supervise work schedule to ensure there is no over-staffing and that scheduled staff is used efficiently and effectively
• Verify the appropriate equipment, supplies and resources are available to team member as needed. Monitor the purchasing and usage of equipment and supplies in order to avoid improper use and eliminate unnecessary waste
• Attend and participate in onboarding and annual training, in-services and team member meetings as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned by Environmental Services Director
