Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least one year of related housekeeping experience and/or training.
• Previous supervisory and scheduling experience is required.
• Experience in healthcare or skilled nursing settings is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Supervise housekeeping staff and coordinate schedules to ensure coverage and timely cleaning.
• Inspect resident rooms and common areas to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Plan and coordinate routine cleaning programs, including deep cleaning and carpet care.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies, equipment, and materials as needed.
• Ensure safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Train staff on procedures, safety, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA).
• Assist with daily housekeeping duties as needed across areas.
• Coordinate department meetings and training to promote teamwork and performance.
• Monitor expenses and assist with budget management.
• Prepare resident charges for housekeeping services when applicable.

We are seeking a dependable and hands‑on Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate has strong leadership and organizational skills, experience supervising housekeeping staff, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident satisfaction. This role combines team leadership, scheduling, quality inspections, and hands‑on housekeeping support.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff and coordinate schedules to ensure adequate coverage and timely completion of cleaning duties.
• Inspect resident rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and community grounds to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Plan and coordinate routine cleaning programs, including deep cleaning, move‑in preparations, annual cleaning projects, and carpet cleaning.
• Monitor inventory and order housekeeping supplies, equipment, and materials as needed.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Train staff on housekeeping procedures, workplace safety, and applicable OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist with daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning floors, restrooms, kitchens, resident rooms, and common areas as needed.
• Coordinate department meetings and training sessions to promote teamwork and consistent performance.
• Monitor departmental expenses and assist with budget management.
• Prepare resident charges for housekeeping services when applicable.
• Maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and reinforcing safe work practices.
• Respond professionally to housekeeping concerns and work to resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and facility staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of related housekeeping experience and/or training.
• Previous supervisory and scheduling experience required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long‑term care, healthcare, or a similar environment preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive feedback.
• Professional and courteous communication skills when interacting with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Ability to manage supplies, equipment, schedules, and multiple priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices, chemical handling, and workplace safety procedures preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Regularly sit, kneel, stand, walk, talk, read, and hear.
• Frequently use housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Occasionally use office equipment, including copiers, scanners, telephones, and calculators.
• Ability to perform hands‑on cleaning duties as needed.
