Job description

Work in Wellness at the New Yora Nordic Spa
Housekeeping Supervisor
Something New Is Taking Shape

Opening in November 2026, Yora Nordic Spa is a place to pause, reconnect and experience wellbeing through nature, hydrotherapy and authentic human connection. It is a space where our team will create thoughtful and welcoming experiences that help guests reconnect with themselves, with others and with the natural world around them.

We are now building our founding team-the people who will bring Yora Nordic Spa to life and shape our culture from the very beginning. Working at Yora means working in wellness and contributing to a workplace and guest experience that are simple, inclusive, natural and social.

The Opportunity

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be part of Yora's founding Housekeeping team. Working alongside the Housekeeping Manager, this role will help prepare and support the team responsible for creating the calm, clean and beautifully presented spaces that will welcome Yora Nordic Spa's first guests in November 2026. This role is anticipated to start in mid-October 2026.

The Housekeeping Supervisor brings the Yora guest journey to life, one space at a time. This hands‑on role leads day‑to‑day housekeeping operations during assigned shifts, coordinates work assignments, inspects guest and back‑of‑house areas, coaches team members and ensures every environment consistently reflects Yora's standards.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the Housekeeping team during assigned shifts and coordinate daily assignments and priorities.
  • Inspect change rooms, washrooms, relaxation spaces, hydrotherapy areas, treatment-support areas, Bistro spaces and public areas throughout each shift.
  • Ensure cleaning schedules, inspections and quality standards are consistently completed.
  • Respond immediately to cleanliness concerns and service‑recovery opportunities.
  • Monitor linen levels, guest amenities, cleaning supplies, chemicals and housekeeping equipment throughout the day.
  • Lead daily quality inspections, correct deficiencies promptly and ensure presentation standards are maintained throughout operating hours.
  • Ensure deep‑cleaning programs and scheduled cleaning tasks are completed according to plan.
  • Provide daily coaching, feedback and hands‑on support to Housekeeping team members.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new Housekeeping team members.
  • Recognize outstanding work while reinforcing accountability, teamwork and Yora's housekeeping standards.
  • Partner with Maintenance and teams throughout the spa to address deficiencies and deliver a seamless guest experience.
  • Support efficient labor deployment and responsible use of linens, supplies, chemicals and equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, organization, presentation and guest comfort without compromising quality.
  • Use inspections, guest feedback and operational observations to continuously improve daily performance.
What You Bring
  • Two to four years of housekeeping experience in hospitality, wellness, luxury hotel or a premium guest‑service environment.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning systems, sanitation standards and facility presentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating calm, clean and beautifully presented environments.
  • The ability to lead by example while remaining actively involved in inspections and housekeeping duties.
  • Strong organization, coaching, communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • The ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • A visible, approachable and hands‑on working style.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork and guest satisfaction.
Schedule

This is a full‑time, on‑site position. The Housekeeping Supervisor must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business needs. Additional flexibility will be required during the pre‑opening and opening periods.

Benefits and Perks

As a member of Yora's founding team, you will be eligible to participate in a range of employee benefits and perks, which are expected to include:

  • Health and wellness benefits.
  • Paid time off.
  • Employee wellness privileges and discounted experiences at Yora Nordic Spa locations.
  • Bistro and retail discounts.
  • Learning, growth and development opportunities within a growing wellness brand.

Yora is currently finalizing its employee benefit plans. Specific coverage, eligibility requirements, employee contributions and plan terms will be shared during the recruitment process and will be governed by the applicable plan documents.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This is an active position requiring a highly visible presence throughout indoor and outdoor spa areas, guest‑facing spaces, change rooms, relaxation areas, back‑of‑house areas, and laundry and supply spaces. The role involves extended periods of standing and walking, frequent bending and reaching, climbing stairs, kneeling and crouching, pushing and pulling housekeeping carts and equipment, and lifting and carrying routine linens, supplies and cleaning materials. The Housekeeping Supervisor regularly performs or assists with inspections and housekeeping duties to support operational needs. Employees may encounter cleaning products and chemicals, fragrances, dust, humidity, steam, moisture, changing temperatures, outdoor weather conditions and wet or slippery surfaces. Appropriate safety procedures and protective equipment must be used when required.
