Job summary

Brasada Ranch seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the team, promote superior guest experiences, and uphold the Ranch’s housekeeping standards. You will train, coach, and monitor Room Attendants, assign daily duties, and ensure timely, thorough cleaning of cabins and public areas.

You will coordinate inspections, address guest complaints, and manage costs, equipment, and procedures under budget guidelines. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Description

As a member of the Brasada leadership team, this position is instrumental in developing and fulfilling the short-term as well as long-term goals of the Ranch and executing the Resort’s Housekeeping philosophy. This position is responsible for creating an atmosphere that will inspire guest and team members to return. The above goals will be accomplished by the proper implementation, promotion, and success of our operations through continual evaluation of the products/services provided while ensuring effective training of the Housekeeping team. The Housekeeping Supervisor will develop guidelines and goals within the structure of the budget, achieving results through strong leadership techniques and cost controlling measures. The position will coordinate and oversee all aspects and functions of the Housekeeping Department and plays a vital role for our home-away-from-home experience for each of our guests every day.

Requirements

• Responsible for maintaining a high standard of organization and communication in every aspect of the housekeeping department
• Trains, coaches and provides positive feedback when necessary to Room Attendants,
• Assigns daily duties to the Housekeeping Team and inspect work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
• Investigates complaints regarding Housekeeping service and equipment, and works in conjunction with Housekeeping Manager to ensure appropriate corrective action
• Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain established Housekeeping standards, policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment
• Reviews daily the list of rooms to be cleaned and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments
• Performs cleaning duties when necessary, including shifts that require extra support to ensure cleaned accommodation by guaranteed check-in time
• Inspects cabins, public areas and outlets for cleanliness and to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, logs observations and makes recommendations to management
• Recommends updates to standards and procedures for work of Housekeeping Employees when necessary
• Advises Manager, desk clerk, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy
• Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, and time cards, and prepares periodic reports
• Assists with Housekeeping Attendant interviews, and recommends promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action when necessary
• Acknowledge and greet guests in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting.
• Communicate service needed for rooms/cabins to room attendants.
• Monitor housekeeping staff periodically and assist when needed.
• Check all equipment prior to and after its use to ensure that it is in good working order.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Room Attendant service scenarios, and execute to standard.
• Adhere to established Resort standards of Housekeeping service
• Follow guest identification procedures before letting persons into guest rooms.
• Ensure all lost and found items are logged appropriately.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Be actively engaged with our guests. Identify the needs of our guests and meet these needs, aiming to exceed expectations at every opportunity. Deliver personalized, memorable guest experiences
