Job summary

Kissel Uptown Oakland in Oakland, CA is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants, ensuring spotless rooms and impeccable guest experiences. You will oversee daily operations, train staff, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards across the property.

As the on‑site supervisor, you’ll report to the Housekeeping Manager, coordinate with other departments, and drive a culture of reliability, efficiency, and pride in service throughout the hotel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in a hotel or related field is required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations with inspections, reports and productivity checks.
• Lead and inspire Room Attendants and House Attendants with clear communication and hands-on training.
• Handle lost-and-found items with care, maintain key control, and manage access to sensitive areas with safety in mind.

KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operations Boss

  Oversee daily housekeeping operations with precision—inspections, reports, and productivity checks are your jam. You make sure everything runs smoothly and up to standard.

• Team Captain

  Lead and inspire Room Attendants and House Attendants with clear communication, hands‑on training, and a positive vibe that keeps the team motivated and on point.

• Safety & Security Pro

  Handle lost-and-found items with care, maintain key control, and manage access to sensitive areas like master keys, storage rooms, and secure files—all while keeping safety top of mind.

• Cleanliness Champion

  Set the bar high for sanitation and cleanliness across all facilities and equipment. You’re the reason everything looks fresh, feels safe, and exceeds expectations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent; college coursework in a related field is a plus.
• 2-3 years of experience in a hotel or related field is required.
