Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas, ensuring the highest cleanliness and presentation. You will supervise team members, perform inspections, and coordinate with Front Office and Engineering to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

• Previous housekeeping, hotel, hospitality, cleaning, laundry, or facilities experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within hospitality or housekeeping operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspection standards, cleaning procedures and hospitality service expectations.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, suites, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Supervise, support, and guide housekeeping team members to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and guest service standards.
• Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and operational areas to ensure brand standards and cleanliness.
• Monitor room readiness, productivity, and guest satisfaction during shifts.
• Respond quickly to guest requests and service issues.
• Partner with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and leadership teams to support seamless operations.
• Assist with onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and communication for team members.
• Ensure sanitation, OSHA, chemical handling, safety policies.
• Maintain storage areas, supplies, linens, and equipment in good condition.
• Support VIP arrivals, group business, deep cleaning projects, and inspections.

What you’ll be doing

• Support daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, suites, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Supervise, support, and guide housekeeping team members to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and guest service standards are consistently maintained.
• Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and operational areas to ensure hotel brand standards and cleanliness expectations are met.
• Monitor room readiness, housekeeping productivity, operational flow, and guest satisfaction throughout shifts.
• Respond quickly and professionally to guest requests, operational concerns, and service recovery situations.
• Partner closely with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and hotel leadership teams to support seamless hotel operations and guest experiences.
• Assist with onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and operational communication for housekeeping team members.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards, OSHA regulations, chemical handling procedures, hotel safety policies, and operational guidelines.
• Maintain housekeeping closets, storage areas, supplies, linens, and operational equipment in clean and organized condition.
• Support VIP arrivals, group business, deep cleaning projects, room inspections, and special operational assignments as needed.
• Help foster a positive, collaborative, and guest-focused environment aligned with Sonesta’s People People philosophy.

What great looks like

• Previous housekeeping, hotel, hospitality, cleaning, laundry, or facilities experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within hospitality or housekeeping operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspection standards, cleaning procedures, and hospitality service expectations.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call support as needed.
