Job summary

Walnut Grove Care & Rehabilitation Center in McAlester, OK seeks a qualified Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a cleaning team in a long-term care environment. The role ensures a clean, comfortable home for residents, oversees training, scheduling, and daily environmental duties.

Key responsibilities include floor care, dusting, linen laundering, room setup, and coordinating with staff. Strong English communication, a high school diploma, and supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Must maintain a working email and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to communicate in English in writing and verbally with staff, residents, and families.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and schedule a team responsible for a clean, comfortable home for residents in long-term care.
• Direct, train, and lead the housekeeping team as well as participate in environmental tasks.
• Perform floor care including sweeping and mopping and handle spill cleanup.
• Dust and tidy common areas, wash windows, and collect trash.
• Laundry linens for residents and prepare bedding; arrange furniture and disinfect surfaces.
• Maintain general cleaning of furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware.
• Other duties as assigned.

Available Shifts:

• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Rotation Schedule with 4 days on & 2 days off

Essential Functions of Housekeeping Supervisor:

• Oversee and schedule a team responsible for creating a clean and comforting home for residents in long-term care. In addition to directing, training, and leading the team, the Supervisor will also participate in environmental functions including:
• Sweeping, mopping, and other floor care including spill clean up and regular maintenance.
• Dusting and general pick-up of common areas.
• Washing windows
• Trash collection
• Shampoo and vacuum carpets.
• Arrange furniture and disinfect surfaces.
• Launder linens for residents.
• Prepare bedding.
• Generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware
• Other duties as assigned

Qualificationsof Housekeeping Supervisor:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is required
• 1 year of experience is preferred
• Prior experience in a supervisor capacity scheduling, training, and leading teams in supporting housekeeping responsibilities is preferred.
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to communicate in English in writing and verbally in conversation with different levels of staff, patient families and any outside customer
