Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in Los Angeles is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. You will supervise team members, conduct room inspections, coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, and Laundry, and support onboarding, scheduling, and training.

A passion for hospitality and strong communication are essential; prior supervisory housekeeping

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or hotel operations experience preferred.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards and guest service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Supervise and mentor housekeeping staff to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Inspect rooms and spaces to ensure brand and cleanliness expectations are met.
• Monitor room readiness, productivity, and guest satisfaction across shifts.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and service recovery situations.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and leadership to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with onboarding, scheduling, training, and communication for the team.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards, OSHA regulations, and safety policies.
• Maintain closets, storage areas, supplies, linens, and equipment in good order.
• Support VIP arrivals, group bookings, deep cleaning, and special assignments.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, suites, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Supervise, support, and guide housekeeping team members to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and guest service standards are consistently maintained.
• Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and operational areas to ensure hotel brand standards and cleanliness expectations are met.
• Monitor room readiness, housekeeping productivity, operational flow, and guest satisfaction throughout shifts.
• Respond quickly and professionally to guest requests, operational concerns, and service recovery situations.
• Partner closely with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and hotel leadership teams to support seamless hotel operations and guest experiences.
• Assist with onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and operational communication for housekeeping team members.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation standards, OSHA regulations, chemical handling procedures, hotel safety policies, and operational guidelines.
• Maintain housekeeping closets, storage areas, supplies, linens, and operational equipment in clean and organized condition.
• Support VIP arrivals, group business, deep cleaning projects, room inspections, and special operational assignments as needed.
• Help foster a positive, collaborative, and guest-focused environment aligned with Sonesta’s People People philosophy.
• Any other duties as assigned.

What Great Looks Like

• Previous housekeeping, hotel, hospitality, cleaning, laundry, or facilities experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within hospitality or housekeeping operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspection standards, cleaning procedures, and hospitality service expectations.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, OSHA regulations, chemical handling standards, and hotel safety guidelines preferred.
• Positive, dependable, and service-focused leadership approach.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call support as needed.
• A passion for hospitality, teamwork, operational excellence, and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

Pay ranges from $26.50 to $29.45. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and job-specific experience/overall experience.
