Job summary

PENN Entertainment, at Sam Houston Race Park in Lake Charles, LA, invites an energetic Housekeeping professional to maintain guest rooms and support a fast-paced gaming environment.

You will resolve guest concerns, follow safety and regulatory standards, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure outstanding guest experiences. Candidates with experience in hospitality or racing venues will fit well; training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in horse racing, pari-mutuel wagering, or guest services.
• Knowledge of Thoroughbred and/or Quarter Horse racing.
• Familiarity with racing programs, wagering machines, and simulcast wagering.
• Experience in high-volume, customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a positive attitude to ensure a good relationship with team members and other departments.
• Ensures that guest rooms are well maintained and in proper repair.
• Maintains cleanliness of rooms, hallways, linen closets, equipment through daily inspections.
• Solve guest complaints in a timely / efficient manner.
• Assist in developing and maintaining of Housekeeping department operation procedures to ensure effective execution of work.
• Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
• Keeps work area clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
• Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Perform all job duties with minimum supervision.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Requirements

• Previous experience in horse racing, pari-mutuel wagering, casino gaming, sportsbook, or guest services.
• Knowledge of Thoroughbred and/or Quarter Horse racing.
• Familiarity with racing programs, wagering machines, betting terminals, and/or simulcast wagering.
• Experience working in a high-volume customer-facing environment.
