Job summary

Comfort-Suites-Fredericksburg-North is seeking an experienced Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping department. This hands-on leadership role requires prior hotel housekeeping experience and the ability to supervise and train a team while maintaining high cleanliness standards.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of coordinating with Front Desk and Maintenance to ensure guest satisfaction. Previous leadership experience is strongly preferred.

• Maintain organized housekeeping carts, linen areas, and supply rooms.
• Monitor linen and housekeeping supply inventory.
• Hold team members accountable while maintaining a respectful environment.
• Help create a positive, productive housekeeping department.

Comfort Suites is currently seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping department.

This is a LEADERSHIP position. We are looking for someone who has previous hotel housekeeping experience and understands that being a Head Housekeeper means more than assigning rooms. The right candidate must be hands-on, organized, professional, and comfortable leading a team while maintaining high standards for guest room cleanliness.

PREVIOUS HOTEL HOUSEKEEPING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

PREVIOUS LEADERSHIP OR SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE IS STRONGLY PREFERRED

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and supervise the daily housekeeping operation
• Assign guest rooms and daily responsibilities to housekeeping staff
• Inspect cleaned guest rooms before releasing them as guest-ready
• Ensure rooms consistently meet hotel and brand cleanliness standards
• Monitor room progress throughout the day
• Make sure stayover services and guest requests are completed on time
• Train and coach housekeepers on proper cleaning procedures and standards
• Correct quality issues immediately and follow up to ensure they are resolved
• Perform random quality-control inspections
• Pay close attention to bathrooms, bedding, floors, mirrors, refrigerators, high dusting, amenities, and other important room details
• Identify and report maintenance concerns immediately
• Communicate closely with the Front Desk, Maintenance, and Management
• Maintain organized housekeeping carts, linen areas, storage rooms, and supply areas
• Monitor linen and housekeeping supply inventory
• Help ensure hallways and common areas are clean and presentable
• Assist with cleaning rooms when necessary
• Hold team members accountable while maintaining a respectful and professional work environment
• Help create a positive, productive, and team-oriented housekeeping department
